What's New in V2

San Mai Kuro Heart Damascus

Acid etched to be like the blackened heart of a villainess, this finish allows for the knife to be safely used without reflections accidentally stealing your face. 67 layers of damascus steel sandwiches a keen cutting edge that gives it both style and protection.

Mirror Polish Integral Bolster & Butt Plate

Thick, structured steel that’s mirror polished and slopes gently to accommodate a comfortable pinch grip, this bolster strengthens the handle significantly, especially when paired with the full tang and butt plate.

10CR Edge Steel

(Technically it’s 10Cr15CoMoV)

Not all steel is made the same. 10CR is a steel that’s comparable to the much beloved VG10(which is now, unfortunately, next to impossible to get), and a huge step above the steel used in most German knives.

But even different types of the same steel can be different. That’s why we source only the high-grade, clean steels from quality steel manufacturers in places like Shanxi, and partner with the 1,400 years of metallurgic craftsman experience from Yangjiang, a famous knifemaking region extending all the way back to the Tang Dynasty. That means that yes, it’s proudly Made In China, where our founder with Michelin Star restaurant experience was born.

Custom Design With Michelin Star Experience

Tim, founder of Vite, grew up watching his mom cook every meal with a weathered santoku she bought in 1996, scratched and worn down by the years, refusing to switch it out even when the tip snapped off. Many years later on the line of a Michelin-starred kitchen, he saw fellow cooks and chefs pick their own knife as an expression of who they were, and the belief that a knife should be more than just a tool stuck with him.

The Kuro Nyakiri is a custom, unique design drawn by Tim, in collaboration with girl_dm_. It blends his passion for the functional, utilitarian aspect of knives as well as the love for Vtubers and expressing lore and mythos through design.

We could probably make a lot more money with simpler designs and just slapping a logo on things. But we love what we do too much for that.
