Projekt Melody /// “Waifu Knifu”

With a blade length of seven inches, more than enough length for anyone, this custom- designed, hand-finished “Waifu Knifu” is designed in collaboration with Vtuber Projekt Melody. This kitchen knife features a three layer San-Mai Damascus, with an outer layer of SUS420, Acid Etched and blackened to create the beautiful damascus patterns.

The cutting edge uses a high-carbon, vanadium-alloyed core of top quality 10Cr15CoMoV, vacuum hardened to 61HRC, significantly harder than the standard ~54HRC of other popular knives, ensuring that this blade’s 13-15 degree edge will stay sharp as it makes quick work of veg, and protein alike.

Yet, this beautifully crafted kitchen knife contains more than it seems beneath the surface. Look closely at the beautiful translucent resin handle, and you’ll find the tang itself hides a shape that’s familiar to a kunoichi, etched with the name of the one who originally wielded this blade.

An understated dual shinogi line and sharp shape structure of the blade creates a subtle diamond shape reminiscent of the kunai used by ninjas, while still maintaining the kitchen knife’s sharp functionality in any kitchen.

Comes with a wooden saya (sheath).

I have the original nyakiri knife and I use it every single day. I absolutely love it! I'm definitely going to add this one to the collection. I've not had to sharpen it, but every now and then I give it a nice leather strop to keep the edge honed.
