Donhiki Parawood Cutting Board

Sometimes, everything comes together just right.

The number "8," or 八(Ba) is considered lucky because of its pronunciation similarity to 发(Fa), meaning fortune or wealth. When designing a cutting board, we wondered, would we be able to do something with that?

The original design used walnut and maple. Walnut's deep and rich, maple's light and golden, and together they made the 8x8 pattern really pop.

Then 2025 happened, with all its tariffs and fun supply chain stuff. The woods spiked nearly 300% in price, and we weren't about to raise prices on you when everything else is already costing more.

So we found parawood. It's a great hardwood for cutting boards, durable, doesn't mess up your knives, and no plastic shavings.

And because it costs us less? We made it cost you less too.

8x8 also happens to be the square configuration of a chessboard. Neat.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
Wash and clean cutting board with soap and water after every use, and dry thoroughly. Do not put in dishwasher. Oil board every month with an appropriate board oil.
