Vite Ramen v3.1 Patch Notes

A new patch for-- okay lawyers have been being even more aggressive lately so I'm not going to list gaming devices as a joke anymore geez

So What's Changed?

UPDATE: L-selenomethionine removed from all formulas

  • Turns out there's ANOTHER gene that makes this nutrient smell terrible to some people
  • Descriptions ranged from "pennies" to "musty hotel" to "wet dog"
  • We thought we fixed the smell issues in v3.0 when we removed gluconates
  • Nope
  • Swapped to selenium glycinate (still bioavailable, doesn't smell terrible to some people)
  • This affects ALL flavors using v3.1 Noodtrient base

UPDATE: Original 3 Flavors enhanced

  • Garlic Pork Tonkotsu: 28g → 32g protein
    • Added more actual pork, like, way more
    • Not protein isolates, real meat
    • Even more garlicky while we were at it
    • Even more umami too
    • Added burned rice flavor
    • It’s even more THICCCCCC now
    • Richer than gacha whales
    • Caramelized garlic oil increased
    • Removed burned rice flavor
  • Roasted Soy Sauce Chicken: 31g → 32g protein
    • Also more actual chicken
    • Rebalanced the three soy sauces
    • Yes there are 3 different ones
    • Yes different soy sauces taste different
    • I think one technically is classified as tamari but
    • Roastier? More roasted? Look it tastes better ok
    • NEW: Umami Shoyu finishing oil
    • Smells like roasted soy sauce comfort
    • Removed Jimmy and sent to the usual room.
  • Vegan White Miso: [REDACTED]
    • I've received threats if I changed vegan white miso too much
    • Not really(but also kind of really)
    • It's mostly the same
    • Maybe a little more miso, a tiny rebalance of some stuff
    • Don't tell anyone they’re gonna get me otherwise im scared
    • (oil was rebalanced a bit)
    • (with caramelized garlic oil addition)
    • (its really good okay dont tell them i-- OH GOD THEY FOUND ME TELL MAGGIE
    • THAT--)
    • No longer steals faces

Why v3.1 and not v4.0 or v1.3?

Okay it’s easier if you just read this: https://viteramen.com/blogs/news/this-ramen-gets-patch-notes-why-v3-1

RETURNING: Nanoboost Core v3.1 and Nanoboost Vitality

  • Why v3.1 if the last Nanoboost Core was v2.0
  • Because consistency of naming conventions
  • But not the other naming convention
  • It makes sense to us right now i promise
  • But maybe not to future us but that’s future us problem
  • Removed time traveling toaster core
  • CHANGED: Pouches instead of tins
  • Look tariffs hurt alright
  • At the end of the day its the stuff in the packaging so--
  • Two flavors returning for Nanoboost Vitality
  • Watermelon Kiwi
  • White Strawberry Yuzu
  • Sunset Citrus is being sunsetted
  • (not really its being reformulated but didnt make it to this launch)
  • Not soda but soda gremlins hopefuls can make it into soda

NEW: Vite Modular Kitchen System now available

  • Remember when we had 4 sachets back in v1.0 and it was a nightmare
  • We're doing that again but like bigger and by themselves
  • Means same thing but 20-33% cheaper than regular packets
  • Yes you read that right
  • More details below after I explain some things

UPDATE: 6-8 week preorder timeline

  • This is completely new territory so raw materials are waiting for allocation
  • Original 3 flavors probably faster
  • Woodland Umami Mushroom and Zesty Lemongrass might take longer
  • We're literally waiting to see what you order before we commit materials

The Components:

  1. Naked Noods - You already know these. 23g protein, 6g fiber. The foundation.
  2.  Vite Flavor Bases - Instead of 12 individual sachets, one resealable pouch with 12 servings. All the same Noodtrients, all the same flavor, just... bulk.
    We also include a scoop!
    ...
Yeah you might need to dig a little sorry we’re figuring that one out later
  3.  Vite Finishing Oils - in dropper bottles, which some people have complained about the sachets being messy which i should really film how to do that without a mess but also here you go
    • Caramelized Garlic Oil
    • Vibrant Green Onion Oil
    • Umami Shoyu Oil
    • Zesty Lemongrass Oil

How it works:

  1. Boil water (or microwave)
  2. Add Naked Noods
  3. Add one scoop of whatever Flavor Base you want
  4. Add 3-5 drops of Finishing Oil (or more, or less, or none)
  5. Eat

Tada it’s like Vite Ramen but less packaging and cheaper...

"But Tim, I just want my normal ramen packets"

They still exist! Regular v3.1 packets aren't going anywhere. Same improved nutrition, no phantom smells, convenient single servings. The Modular Kitchen is an option, not a replacement.
Some days you have the energy to be a component-mixing chef. Some days you need to rip open a packet and add water. Both are valid. Both are available.

Technical Notes Nobody Asked For But I'm Including Anyway

Noodtrients vs Nanoboost: People keep asking why these are different. Noodtrients (in the ramen) contain iron and potassium. Nanoboost doesn't, because those can upset stomachs when taken as supplements. It's a small but important difference if you're using both.

Lead times: Original 3 flavors have shorter lead times because we're used to them. Woodland Umami Mushroom and anything with Zesty Lemongrass Oil might take longer because they're newer and require a bit more finangling.

The scoops: Yes, we include scoops. No, you don't have to use them if you don’t want to. Yes, I know volumetric measuring isn’t the most accurate but we can’t include scales in every one either so--

In Conclusion

We promised not to raise prices because of tariffs. We found a way to lower them instead with your help.

The Modular Kitchen isn't just about price, though. It's about flexibility. It’s about acknowledging that some days you can slice and dice your way to a beautiful, delicious, chefy meal and still have the energy to clean and do the dishes after(couldn’t be me), and some days you’re trying real hard not to burn water because the exhaustion and brain fog is so bad. It’s about mixing one part Garlic Pork base with two parts Vegan White Miso, and topping with Lemongrass oil and caramlized garlic oil and umami shoyu oil all at once because you’re feeling experimental. It’s about having control when you want it, adding Nanoboost Core to other foods you eat, or having a glass of Nanoboost Vitality when you need nutrients but can’t get yourself to eat solid food. It’s simplicity when you need it, and creativity when you want it.

v3.1 launches May 29th, along with the Vite Modular Kitchen!

I’ll be streaming at 3PM PST on May 29th as well at https://twitch.tv/timjzheng to show everyone how this all works, and answer any questions anyone has!

As always, we're going to keep improving. Keep iterating. And of course...

Always savoring life’s little victories.
